Abstract

The Authors, a former member and an expert of the public Authority created in Italy be the new law on public service strikes, provide a documented and detailed account of unions and workers' violations noticed to and ruled by the Authority over the period 1990-96. The focus is: How do Italian unions act after the new law, and how do they face contraints the Italian industrial relations system never had? This is also the only complete report about the Authority first six-years term activity.
