Abstract
The article describes the work of «maintenance of the analyst’s mind», carried out by a group of psychoanalysts from the Italian Psychoanalitical Association (SPI) and the Societat Espanyola de Psicoanàlisi (SEP). Activities took place online through Zoom, using the tool of analytical psychodrama. Drawing on two examples from the experiential sessions of maintenance group, the paper discusses issues of distance and proximity and the emotions that emerged in the new context of virtual encounters. The experience in the new digital setting was very stimulating for the partecipants and encouraged the group to explore the very current topic of remote psychoanalytic work
