Abstract
The paper aims to propose a reflection on the relationship between poetry and truth in Dante’s Divine Comedy and on the degree of reliability that modern readers should have in the author’s words, taking inspiration from Alison Cornish’s recent book Believing in Dante: Truth in fiction, which offers a broad reflection on this theme.
