Abstract

The discussion develops the reflection on recent transnational histories. In that discussion we question about the spaces of "making history", at global and local level. We discuss on as re-writing a history of the political spaces and how to valorize the territories as fragments of an wider global space. Moving from the "world histories" of France, Italy and Spain, we reflect on other examples of transnational histories, which underline the complexity questions of scale in the transformations of the state and national spaces. The relationship between geography and history, social sciences and "histories" of different age (escaping therefore from the only contemporary history) facilitates a comparative and interdisciplinary approach.
