Abstract

The article deals with drammaticity of family relationships, especially refering to parenthood, from the relational-symbolic point of view. It underlines the need of a triple comparison at family level, that is the between sexes one, the between generations one and the between descents one. In particular, the article refers to adoptive parents of foreign children, who are living the critical teen years. These specific family relationships do not allow to carry out one of the three crucial comparisons, that is the between descents one, depriving the child of the origin dimension. That is w ay the probability the family drama may turn into tragedy is higher than the one it may turn into comedy.
