Abstract

This study aims to replicate Kanizsa's original research of 1953 entitled "About validation of personality diagnosis" using the same procedure. In the hypothesis that half a century of development and diffusion of psychology should have worked to reduce the ingenuosness which was peculiar of the subjects of the original study. 28 students at the fifth year in the department of psychology of Padua have been tested with Corman's doodling test, asking them, at the end, to estimate the degree of resemblance between the profile obtained from their test and the one that they considered to be their real personality. The profile was the same for all the subjects. The profile has been accepted in a percentage between 69 and 74, confirming Kanizsa's conclusions.
