Abstract
In June 1965 the Beatles arrived in Italy. An epochal event for Italian music and society of the Sixties. The essay highlights the documents from the police archives preserved at the National Archives of Italy (ACS), through which it is possible to reconstruct the circumstances of the arrival of the «fab four» and the reactions of the Italian cultural and entertainment world and, more generally, takes the stock of the sources of ACS about that decade.
