Abstract

In his introduction to the monographic section dedicated to Piero Boni, the author briefly summarises the seven essays, each of which describes the famous trade unionist's human, intellectual, and professional experience from a different perspective. More than five years after his death, Piero Boni is commemorated for his shared experience within Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, which benefitted from his ethic and political guidance. He is also remembered as a man capable of using his deep knowledge of ideas, facts, and people to propose a convincing interpretation not only of Italian trade unionism, but also of the whole political and cultural life of our country.
