Abstract

The paper starts from the recent publication of a miscellaneous work dedicated to a reading of Dante’s Inferno, preceded by some essays that investigate transversal themes present in Alighieri’s works, to highlight some open questions in contemporary Dante criticism and the exegetical and interpretative novelties produced by recent studies. It highlights in particular how the overcoming of the traditional model of the “Lectura Dantisµ for single cantos allows to highlight numerous elements of structural continuity within the cantica.
