Abstract

Organizational reputation represents the degree of trustworthiness both within and outside the company target market. Through the modern means of communication, information spread instantaneously; taking care of the organizational image in front of stakeholders becomes for companies an activity of primary importance in the process of creating value and defending the competitive advantage acquired. Given the necessary centrality of reputation in business processes, it becomes essential to also consider an associated risk component in all risk management activities. Companies in the Aviation sector are particularly subject to reputational risk. Therefore, typical risk factors are identified to base risk reduction strategies, in order to mitigate the impact of inefficiencies and disruptions on their reputation.
