Abstract

This paper will focus on two concepts, which are both incredibly important in Weberian thought: Charisma and Revolution. While the first one - charisma - is immediately linked to Max Weber's reflection, the second one - revolution - does not have a specific and explicit definition. This contribution tries to connect charisma and revolution in three steps: 1. Revolution: nuances of a concept; 2. Charisma: the "creator" force of history; 3. Beginnings towards a theory of upheaval. In this way it is possible not only to clarify the concepts of charisma and revolution, but also to use them in order to outline a possible theory of historical changes.
