Abstract

The article argues for the need to redefine the stewardship codes as trusteeship codes: in an era in which the responses of institutions to climate change have been anything but prompt, and in which attention has been focused on stakeholder value and on sensitizing directors towards public good, this redefinition would certainly lead to the revitalization of stewardship’s institutional role. This would allow the optimization of management and the achievement of positive results for the benefit of the entire community
