During the last two years, three books on Thomas Paine have been published in Italy. Their deep and wide analyses allow stating that the Italian studies on Paine reached a level among the highest within the international frame. The Author discusses these three books (M. Diritti, costituzioni, cittadinanza in Thomas Paine, Torino, 2012), which confirm the importance and the variety of the issues developed by Paine in his work, but also their topicality.
