Abstract

The fight against corruption has been Xi Jinping's main goal since he was elected Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party in 2013. This fight requires a strong leadership, and both the international press and political commentators agree in describing Xi as «the most powerful Chinese leader after Mao Zedong», the «new emperor». But who is Xi Jinping? What problems is he facing and how is he dealing with them?
