The Old Town like Landscaped Asset with Cultural Value

Abstract

The notion of the old town is not of univocal determination from the legal point of view, but it is however suitable to describe, according to a well-recognized regulatory trend, the built-up area that invests historical and artistic character and of special landscape value. So its discipline born and remains of town planning (mainly oriented to the consolidation and renovation of the old town), although it is in evidence the "cultural" component in a broadly sense, of material testimony thas has value of civilitation. The old town does not become cultural heritage in the technical sense, though within its scope to develop the socalled "cultural activities", of interest also to the discipline of trade, and indeed with the new art. 136, letter c), of the code of cultural heritage and landscape "old towns and historical nucleus (units)", they have been included among the complex of real estate (goods together) susceptible to landscape protection by administrative declarative measure of significant public interest.
