Managing museums means to make them interlocutors of other subjects, private subjects above all, that are called to collaborate with their financial resources, but that can be seduced by this compartment if museums operate with right criteria for profit or no profit private compartment. Considering the variety of the participations of private Foundations in Italian enclosure of museums, this work wants to underline the most important aspects of guiding discipline about these institutions. Besides it has been thought useful a comparison with Germany, that has distinguished itself for the research of new management forms, particularly after its 2002 economic crisis, that caused a policy of "cuts", which concerned culture first of all.
