Abstract

In January 2017, the decree revising and upgrading the Essential Levels of Care (LEA) was issued. This is a very important act by the government. The LEA represent, in fact, the institutional effort to ensure, throughout the country, standardized healthcare provision in the face of growing regional differences. However, financial and methodological difficulties, as well as ones concerning content, make it an act of not easy and immediate application.
