Abstract

Following a recent paper of mine on the psychoanalytic method I expand my investigation on the psychoanalyst’s functions in the psychoanalytic process. Of the many functions of the psychoanalyst the story-teller is investigated. It is a function or a part of the Super-ego, among the earliest ones. Its origin is in the love’s relation of the new-born baby with his parents. The psychoanalytic story-teller brings identity, poetics and care. He comes to an end flowing in the process of culture and civilization of mankind.
