Abstract

The present contribution aims to establish the psychometric proprieties and to evaluate the predictive power of the University entrance examination to the faculty of psychology at the academic year 2002-03. The students' academic performance was measured after three years. The predictive power of the overall score to the test and the partial scores its sections (4) and sub-sections (6) was measured. The results indicate that the overall score and some partial scores are predictive of the university performance in qualitative terms (means of the exams grade), but not in quantitative one (number of given exams). Some abilities, evaluated by specific sections of the test, are particularly relevant in the building of a positive curricular story.
