Abstract

The article offers a summary of private healthcare in Italy and its relevance in the overall context of the healthcare system, highlighting the regional differences and the different orientation with respect to the public system. The transformations taking place in relation to the pandemic and the need for the State to carry out an industrial policy, in the field of health technologies and medicines, capable of catalyzing new types of growth with the involvement of the private sector, are examined.
