Abstract
$e article presents a novel translation of Cesare Brandis Teoria del restauro from the Italian language to Chinese. $is new edition has the goal to spread and explain to a wider scholarly public the contents of one of the most consequential texts that stemmed from the Italian debate on restoration, thus fostering a renewed reflection on the challenges posed by the preservation of artistic, architectural and urban heritage in China.
