Specialized education experiences
in Architectonical Restoration, activated
within the Department in Architecture
of RomaTre University of
Rome (Master and Professional
Master's degree ), are characterized
by didactics encouraging projects
which are strongly influenced by history.
In labs and classes you can learn
how to project in harmony with urban
and environmental contexts,
and to restore past architecture with
philological method, in order to give
back the peculiar beauty to historical
city centers and landscapes and in
order to give back multiple identities
to Italian heritage. These formative
experiences occur in very close operation
with the administration in
command of protection (particularly
the Public Administration of Rome
and Lazio and the Municipal Superintendence
of Rome), with the participation
of several specialized enterprises.
Their aim is to offer real contributes
of studies and projects (in this issue
those about the Torre dei Conti ) in
order to give back "the sense of
past's presence to the current world"
(G. Urbani), and encourage a sustainable
development based on a rebirth
of cultures, jobs and local economics.
