Abstract

The literary production in a different language from the original one is an ancient phenomenon, which in Italy only recently assumed more interesting characteristics and such proportions to be worth of critics and publishing attention. The most used definition till now, Italian literature of migration, seems no more able to describe a literary phenomenon that changed its status, and so it is necessary to find new hermeneutic approaches. The study proposes, therefore, new theoretical perspectives, applying to the Italophone literature the concept (borrowed from Deleuze and Guattari) of linguistic deterritorialization, and the Glissant's reflection about the different linguistic expressivity of Creole literature, with the intention to shift the critic focus from the socio-anthropological interest to textual-linguistic one.
