The essay focuses on the presence of Dante and the critical jiudgments about him in Leonardo Bruni's works, outlining developments and changes, starting from the "Dialogi ad P.P. Histrum". The Life of Dante is the object of a particular analisys, that investigates some of the most important matters and novelty in Bruni's writing on Dante.
