Abstract
The contribution analyzes the “Camilleri caseµ and tries to identify the reasons for the Sicilian author’s international success also through the testimonies of the translators of his novels and short stories. Then, it focuses on the latest novel, Riccardino, published by Sellerio in 2020, and in particular on the language used by the author, comparing some pages of the two editions of the work, dated 2005 and 2016, to highlight its differences in language and in syntax.
