Abstract

Enrico di Robilant opened legal philosophy to contemporary epistemology. His philosophy of law is based upon the fundamental premise that the legislation of an open system can be seen as an attempt to reduce the complexity of social expectations, compatible at the same time with the greatest extent of information. A man of fundamental moral integrity, Enrico di Robilant deeply influenced Italian legal philosophy, and traced new ways of thinking post-modernity.
