Abstract

Neoplatonism, which constitutes both the synthesis of nearly 1000 years of ancient philosophy and the matrix of later metaphysics, is founded on a metaphysical operation that is now forgotten, the henological difference between the One and the Being, between that part of reality that proceeds (the being) and that which does not proceed (the one). We will show that this forgotten difference, far removed from the ontological difference, constitutes a very relevant criticism of both metaphysics as domination and economic globalization as the entropy of the world.
