Abstract

This article aims to discuss the noir elements present in Le conseguenze dell’amore (2004), focusing in particular on the figure of the femme fatale as informed by Julia Kristeva’s discussion of the abject feminine. It aims therefore to demonstrate the impossible place of female desire and autonomy in Italian Mafia cinema.
