Abstract

Published respectively in 2017 and 2018, the two books on “Ecclésiologie et oecuménismeµ by Joseph Famerée and on “OEcuménisme et synodalitéµ by Hyacinte Destivelle represent a milestone because they provide a lenghty evaluation of the quest for unity, pondering future perspectives. The article presents the two ecumenical pathways which cross at such a crucial time, identifying what might be called an «ecumenical logic», based on pauline theology and in action within the great christian tradition. The latter part of the article question itself on the future of «ecumenical tradition» and addresses the question of the new paradigmatic threshold to cross.
