Abstract

The article esamines how the law gives protection to the artistic freedom in seven legal systems. To comparative purpose the study of artistic freedom deals with the intrinsic content of art, its relationship to the others social values, the ability of the legal system to protect arts. The author distinguishes between systems which does not make distinction between artistic expression and other forms of speech and systems which treat artistic freedom in a separate privileged manner. In these later cases artistic speech is valued even more than general freedom of expression.
