Abstract

The present article aims to investigate how constitutionalism can contribute to the fight against climate change. A comparison with Germany shows that, in the inertia of the political power, constitutional courts play a key role in the realization of the fundamental principles, including nowadays the protection of ecosystems. The German constitutional tradition, wellestablished in the field of environmental protection, may in this sense represent a valid point of reference for the future of the Italian legal system
