Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide an initial empirical evaluation of the relationship between environmental satisfaction and job satisfaction. The research was carried out with the participation of 130 French employees working in medium and large organizations. By SEM, it was developed a model that explains the dual mutual longitudinal direction of the effect of environmental satisfaction and job satisfaction. From the theoretical point of view our study underline the importance of the subjective component in the evaluation of environmental satisfaction. From a practical point of view, the strong interdependency between two types of satisfaction suggests particular attention to HRM practices.
