Abstract

The article deals with the philosophical content of Giorgio Caproni's poetry. The essay aims at analyzing his meditation about the relationship between poetical word and philosophical word and his original formulation of the metaphysical demand. The theme of death is explored in depth in three periods of Caproni's poetical works, "Ballo a Fontanigarda", "Versi livornesi" and "Res amissa".
