Abstract

This article focuses on the characteristics of the anti-Slavic practices set by Italian military in order to legitimize Slovenian population's internment on the Soča-Isonzo front during the First World War. In the first section the article shows the legal and formal characteristics of internment. In the second one, it deals with the issues related to the construction of the enemy in Italy during the war. In the third section, it examines the characteristics of the internment of Slovenian population. The article aims to demonstrate that the process of Italian nationalization of the new territories began at the same time as the mobilization of the army during the Italian military advance.
