Abstract

This article, inspired by the work of Martha Nussbaum, aims at highlighting the contribution of the «family research» to the search for the good. The most important North American and European research models are reviewed, showing that the different forms of the good, as well as its fragility, are inscribed in a narrativist-constructivist conceptual framework. The Symbolic-Relational model is then presented. Over twenty years, this model has been applied to psychosocial research, as well as to clinical interventions with couples and families. The Symbolic-Relational model involves three triangles - organizational, symbolic, dynamic - into which the «fragile good» is operative.
