Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the connection that could be established between gender budgets in the Academia and public services, in particular childcare. The never-ending problem of work-life balance in Italy could benefit from gender budgeting, a process that aims to provide statistics on gender and careers and take into action specific measures to provide both economic and logistic support for the main stakeholders in universities, such as students, professors and the staff.
