Abstract

«Autonomie locali e servizi sociali» is a journal which looks at the future, but it reckons the relevance to anchor our welfare system to the most important reforms which have changed the health and social services networks in Italy over the last 40 years. For this reason, the Journal made the choice to host two interviews with Rosy Bindi and Livia Turco, the former has been Minister of Health (1996-2000) and Minister for Family Policies (2006-2008); the latter has been Minister of Social Solidarity (1996-2001) and Minister of Health (2006-2008). Over the period of their Ministries, the Journal published many articles emerged from the copious normative production, as well as from the rich cultural and political debate activated and promoted by the two Ministers. Through their narration, they illustrate the several policies addressed to the Italian population, with the aim to prevent social risks and to promote social inclusion.
