Abstract

The aim of this article is to give a basic information about the historical values of Mostar, its fatal destruction during the atrocities of 1992-1995 war against Bosnia and Herzegovina and finally about the Mostar project implemented between 1998 and 2004. The role of International Organizations as AKTC, WMF, World Bank, IRCICA, has proved of particular importance for the success of the Project. This article ends with a critical evaluation of the Project itself as an examination of future development challenges and continuation of post-war recovery of the community leading to a sustainable peace and reconciliation.
