Abstract

Isolated from everyday life, confined by public life, exiled and medicalized, death seems to preserve an increasingly residual space within our lives. It looks yet like something is changing. The experience of death is now experiencing a paradoxical experience: we die and we continue yet to exist in the form of digital spectra, unwittingly unable to disappear but, on the opposite, we predisposed to return forcefully to the everyday lives of dear survivors. Digital Death is becoming a field of study focused to understanding the meaning of death, mourning, memory and immortality within digital platforms.
