Abstract

The author briefly sketches the relationship between the consensual democracy in Italy and self referencial communication of parties, which gives rise to antipolitical and populist resentment in public opinion. During the so called Second Republic the introduction of some elements of majoritarian democracy was unsuccessful and even the brilliant narrative and «new journalism» style of Eugenio Scalfari and Umberto Eco risks to convert itself in his opposite and to reproduce a kind of newsmaking over politicized and self referential.
