Abstract
The essay deals with popular legislative initiative in Lombardy. It starts with the examination of the Region’s statutory regulations and then moves on to consider the implementing provisions of Regional Law No. 9/2021. The latter provides some innovative contents, potentially capable of ensuring the revival of this participatory institute, whose performance, however, remains uncertain
