Abstract

This contribution states the need for a new Ecclesiastical Law in Europe, meant as renewal of analysis instruments and scientific knowledge, which are necessary to understand the complexity of the processes prompted in particular by the European Union's enlargement towards the East. It thus underlines the importance of the Licodu.cois.it database, which provides for the framework of legislation in force in Eastern Europe's countries, as well as for the historical sequence of the acts regulating Ecclesiastical Law-related realms.
