Abstract

The Data Protection Autority provision confirms the interpretative guidelines on the faithful’ personal data processing by religious organisations and includes among legitimately processed data also those obtained through investigations on followers’ behavior and lifestyle, in order to identify their «suitability». This theme offers an opportunity to explore the issues related to the relationship between autonomy of religious organizations and faithful’ individual rights.
