Abstract
The essay analyses the impact of the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) on institutional arrangements and the form of government. The underlying assumption is that the NRRP has accelerated ongoing trends in the constitutional order due to European integration. These trends, although entirely legitimate, raise the need for a suitable system of checks and balances to counterbalance them.
