Abstract

In 2018 Bolsonaro won the presidential vote. This article is mainly focused on the judi¬cial repression in almost 30 Brazilian universities during the second presidential ballot, on consequent protests in that period and on the constitutional protection of the academic autonomy. Therefore, it deals with the repressive decisions of several electoral tribunals during the electoral campaign and the fundamental role of the Supreme Federal Court to counterbalance them. In conclusion, the political program of Bolsonaro in the field of edu¬cation is analysed, whith special attention to its impact on the freedom of speech, research and teaching.
