Abstract

The article reviews the major new developments in French administrative law in the year 2015. In particular, some important national and European judicial decisions in the matter of contentious administrative procedure (the safeguarding of third parties in contentious cases involving town planning, the principle of impartiality of the judge, protection with regard to disciplinary measures) in the matter of the relationship of the safeguarding of political freedoms (of expression and of assembly) and the safeguarding of public order, in the matter of administrative functions (on the principle of the neutrality of public service agents, on the functional safeguards of the magistracy, on severance pay in case of voluntary early retirement); in the matter of unilateral administrative acts, of public contracts and of liability of public institutions.
