Abstract

Dealing with Andrea Manzella’s book, Elogio dell’Assemblea, tuttavia, this essay aims to analyse the current challenges of parliamentarism. The crisis of the Parliament made up of mass-based parties and the ways in which nowadays Parliament works are taken into account in a historical perspective. It is underlined that the Parliament will be necessary in the future as well. Nevertheless, Parliament needs to rethink itself, in order to cope with the context in which it will operate.
