Abstract
The paper contains a series of considerations on the contents and the outcomes of law 180/78 ( “Basaglia lawµ) forty years after its approval. In particular, the author examines the relationship between the Italian mental health act and the evolution of management of property and affairs of disabled people’s legislation.
