Abstract
Discussing the book "Cittadini e no" by Patricia Mindus, the paper provides a critical analysis of the author's main objections to the so-called legal model of citizenship. This survey offers an opportunity to explore some normative issues concerning asylum and citizenship, focusing in particular on the challenges to human rights raised by border regimes and on the exclusion of migrants from the right to vote.
