Abstract

Data sharing is a key aspect of science, but too many psychologists are reluctant to practice it. The first part of the present work discusses some important advantages of data sharing, both for psychological research as a whole, and for the researcher. Even the most recent empirical results show that data sharing is slowed down by fears and by a lack of knowledge on how to implement it. Also in the light of the consideration that fear and lack of knowledge often go arm in hand, the second part provides some basic information on how to share one's own data.
